Most Expensive Comic Books in The World

Most Expensive Comic Books in The World
Action Comics #1, June 1938, the first comic that introduced Superman character. At that time, the initial price of this comic is 10 cents. But on March 29, 2010, the first printing of this comic broke the record for most expensive comic book in the world. This comic prices reached U.S. $ 1.5 million through the auction site ComicConnect.com

Stephen Fishler, co-owner of the site, said that the comic book was immediately purchased a minute after posting a price of U.S. $ 1.5 million.

This price beat the record for most expensive comic books in the world, which were previously held by the first edition of the Batman comics (1939). Batman comic sells for U.S. $ 750,000 at auction in Dallas.

Previously reported in February a similar comic books (Superman) has been sold for U.S. $ 1 million, but only a copy in good condition.

"Over the last 15 years many people want to buy this book," said Stephen Fishler. "It's hard to imagine there are others that are offered and sold at higher prices."
